Hello Neighbor is a survival horror video game released by TinyBuild Games. In the game, the player's goal is to explore the depths of their neighbor's house, which is full of traps and puzzles. The player has to sneak around and avoid being seen by the following: the Neighbor, who has a set patrol route, the Neighbor's dog, and the Neighbor's shadow.
Hello Neighbor's gameplay is a puzzle game with a horror element. The player's objective is to explore the Neighbor's house, consisting of several rooms and floors, without being seen or caught. The player can move, jump, and climb using various items around the house. The player starts by picking up a rock from the ground, and can get a unique item from one of the many rooms in the house. The player has to sneak around and avoid being seen by the following: the Neighbor, who has a set patrol route, the Neighbor's dog, and the Neighbor's shadow. If the player is seen, the Neighbor will chase them down, and the player's only hope is to get to a safe zone before the Neighbor grabs them. If the player is caught, they will be teleported back to the beginning of the game.
The graphics in the game are in the 3D style, with the player able to rotate the camera in all directions. The graphics are simple, with limited detail in textures or objects. The game is in black and white, with the only color coming from the player, the Neighbor, and the dog.
Information about replayability
There are many ways to play the game, with the game randomly generating the items or rooms for the player to explore in each playthrough. The game also has a "Halloween Mode" that changes the game's colors to be more like the colors of the game "Five Nights at Freddy's". This mode is only available for a limited time.
It is an asymmetric multiplayer game where one player plays as the stealthy hacker who tries to break into the house of the other player, who plays as the homeowner. The two players are not able to interact with one another, but they can play at the same time.
